  3. A FISHERMAN has been swept off rocks to his death near a Sydney beach, police say. The man was fishing near Mahon Pool, 500m north of Maroubra Beach in the city's south-east, around 2.30pm (AEST) today when he was swept into the ocean, police said. Passers-by raised the alarm after spotting the man face down in the water. Local lifesavers on jet skis attempted to retrieve him but were unsuccessful due to rough conditions. The man's body was eventually winched from the water by helicopter. Police are now trying to identify him. Anyone with information was urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Police will prepare a report for the coroner. http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/stor...5001021,00.html

  9. Hello, I recently bought a "Shimano Baitrunner 4500B" reel, I am putting this on a "Shakespere Super Salmon Light, Low mount" rod. I am hoping to target tailor/flathead maybe a kingfish if I am lucky. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the correct tackle and rigs to use, not to mention bait.. I know I am basically asking everything, but I have not done alot of fishing in the past, a little bit with my grandfather who has now passed. I've recently located to the coast and am keen to take to the next level.. If anyone could be so kind in steering some helpful information/tips this way, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers CCF
