  1. Tough choice, both good engines .I am looking at the same problem for my boat.Yammy is tried and true and E-tec 's have been all the rage but now I am starting to hear of E-tec owners not being totally happy as the stated performance is not the same as the actual performance.I am going to sit back for a while and do my homework on these carefully.I suggest you do plenty of research aswell, its a big investment.
  2. I bought a 50m roll of twin core tinned last week to do my boat.It costs about $100.
  3. Mate try Pacific West plastics at Wetherill Park .They can custom make them to any size and make it removable. They did a great job on mine and were very reasonably priced.I think the guys name was Bill.
  4. Thats the one with Bruce Schumacher, showing a lot of the favourite spots of other Ku Ring Gai Hornsby fishing club members. As I recall when he showed it to us at the club it caused a REAL stir.A lot of unhappy campers as I remember.Still a very informative video but as was said before, things have since changed for the worse.Might have something to do with the pros netting on weekends now...just a thought.
  5. Mate ,I could be wrong but I thought all of BI was off limits now.Best check the fisheries website. It is a shame because there are some massive snapper up there in the shallow waters.
  6. ALL I CAN SAY IS BETWEEN NEWC AND KIAMA, MIDDLE OF THE DAY
  7. I could tell you but I would get my legs broken.
  8. As a car sparky I can tell you it won't be easy to get.Tinned is a specialty item and as such getting hold of multiple rolls of the stuff in different colours is very expensive.I would suggest that you do what I did and buy 1 spool of twin tinned cable (red\black),pass it through to the end and then stick a tag on each end saying what it is for(nav light etc.) .That way you can use just one roll .
  9. Well done guys on the Jewie. But sorry to say that is definately an eel ..not to worry you are not the first to make that mistake and I'm sure you wont be the last.Anyway some people consider them a delicacy.
  10. Hi guys, do any of you have the Navman electronic fuel flow gauges?I am looking at buying one but would first like to know what your experiences have been with them. Thanks in advance.
  11. A little fishy my mate caught recently....it wasn't on it's own either

    Bait Tanks?

Yeah it is REFLEX at Smithfield\Wetherill Park, they have an online catalogue available.
  13. they are a good trailer ,but are built to a price if you know what I mean.I have been looking to buy a new trailer myself and having been to both the Brooker and Boeing factories here in sydney and had a good look at the other main brands I rate them this way. #1 BOEING very solidly built & they have so many little extras that make a huge difference like extra folded up section of light cable ,rolled drawbar, tilting skids etc. #2 STACER and DUNBIER both very good, strongly made. #3 BROOKER good trailers but lack the little extras of the other brands. I spent a lot of time shopping around and this is my honest opinion.
  14. Very perceptive as usual Byron. Another factor that needs to be considered is local conditions, something that anyone who fished the Hawkesbury this week would have noticed is that because of the outflow from Warragamba Dam flushing water out through the system fighting against the small run-in tides there was virtually only run-out tides for the full cycle. It made for very difficult fishing conditions indeed ,if we did not know about this release we would still have been scratching our heads trying to work out why the tide didn't change.
