  1. Yes I did get the right section this time, Sorry about that AGAIN! I was reading an article on a 5mtr Tinnie and they mentioned, deadrise 17 degrees. To the average bloke this may mean something but to a dope like yours truly I would sure appreciate a little input from you guy's if you would'nt mind. Had fun reading the weekends capers some great catch and release stories and memories. Still trying to get over Joecool and his heater. Regards Russell
  2. Can anyone tell me if you can still access the docks at the end of Hickson road. My dad worked for the MSB and I always fished off the end of 8 and 9 wharf. I know they chopped the end off it some years ago, but is it still accesable to the general public. Regards Russell
  3. Lesta I would suggest Clifton gardens wharf mate for some land based action. Simply because of its simplicity and the fact that you just never know what will hit your bait. Good and your time off. Russell
  4. Could someone please help the dope with a lesson on proper squid release technique. If the squid is being brought to the boat does it's ink projectile area point at you or away from you. How do you despatch a squid without the inevetable ink shower. Yes your right im a dope. That's why I fish cause fish dont discriminate. Regards Russell
  5. I agree with you on that, the best by far. Regards Russell
  6. I remember watching those video's over and over again they were great. I haven't seen one around for years. Maybe EBAY might have the odd oneup for sale. Come to think of it I heard that Mal Florence had passed away. Any idea how old the photo is.
  7. G'Day Rekless You have just reminded me of a trip years ago, we went off Syd and my brother boated a 55kg Mako only problem was that four of us had driven down to the charter boat in an RX7. I tell you it was a funny trip home we had the Bloody shark sitting up on the rear back window of the RX where the speakers are a funny trip home that one. Hope you do well finding the Mako mate fish safely and have fun.
  8. Hey Bluecod give us a run down on a quick sushimi to try. Never had it is it as good as they say. I think Ibetter get some on standby just in case. cheers Damariboyz
  9. By the way what did you get them on ? lure or bait?
  10. I must confess that I keep 2 for bait and 1 for me, that's the agreed ratio. I like to mix them with a sweet and sour sauce. oh! and a couple of beers help as well.
  11. I had a fish in the bay a while back and the bay itself was quite. So we flicked some bits of pilly around the moorings for some nice Bream to 34cm.
  12. Hello to everyone this is my first official topic. I have been visiting your site as a visitor and may I say you are a colourful bunch. You have provided me with much laughter when it was needed "while at work". My question to you fishos is, when connecting your leader to the lure " trolling and spinning" do you believe that a snap swivel is better as this makes it easier to change lures quickly, or is a loop knot better to allow the lure to work without interference. And do you believe that the amount of interference, that may be caused to the lures movement through a snap swivel, be reason enough to tie your leader with a loop knot. Sorry if that sounded confusing. Thanks
