G'day Raiders,
Posting after a long time, have been catching fish but was too lazy to post. But last night was special as its my first jewfish from the beach. Went there with couple of mates, weather was crap so we went out just for fun with mullet strips and pillies basically looking for salmon and odd tailor.
The tide was verrrry low and incoming started at 6pm so we had to cast really far, no bites for the first hour of tide in then as we were about to call quits , Bang my rod was bending like half moon, quickly went on to it and the way fish was behaving it was certain that its a good fish not a sting ray or PJ. The waves were quite big so it helped to bring out the fish and as soon as I saw silverish colored fish I knew its something special!!!
It weighed 5.8kg!!!
Cheers,
SAAD.
