  3. Hey wayne,I'm a builder by trade and 1 of my mates is a mechanic and the other a concreter. The concreter has experience in welding same as the mechanic.Me myself, this is the first i have ever welded and it does'nt take long to get the hang of it.If you put your mind to it you can do anything, don't be scared to try anything. Most of the work is in designing everything and trying to vision it in your head. Cheers

  10. Left rose bay at 6:30am.Dropped the line in only a few miles from the heads as we had plenty of time to reach our destination a few hours before tide.By 12pm we had 10 dollies ranging from 75cm to 100cm. As i began to set up the spread for marlin zzzzzzzzzzz the line i had just put in seconds ago went off (short corner).30 minutes later we had him at the boat. Then again as i was putting the line out within 5 minute zzzzzzzzzzz short corner again.1 hour later he was at the boat with the leader wrapped around its tail which made it hard for us to bring up.What a top day, water temp was 24 degress
  11. Have a close look at the first shot in the water its easy to spot and make out that it is a stripe
  12. we were about 20 miles out from sydney heads. Water temp was between 26.6 and 26.9. Weather was great, bit of rain at 7am a bit at 12pm and little more at 3pm and between all that a bit of sunshine what more could we ask for.
  13. headed out from rosebay at 600 am on sunday morning with beatiful weather hoping to hook up a billfish. Got to the spot at 7:30 and set up the spread. After a few hours and after heaps of tunas and dollies we hooked this striped marlin. Took us 40mins to bring him in.I called it for about 100kg
  14. That is a pike.Good kingfish bait
  15. Head out from rose bay at 5.30am in amazingly beautiful water.Dropped the line in at the Baitstation and headed east for some beakies. There was so much surface action with bait fish everywhere. Even though we did'nt hook a beakie we caught a shark and some dollies. It was just a great day to be on the water.Going out on monday looking to be similar conditions. Just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. headed out at rose bay at 6am water looking amazing we made our trip out to chase some bill. Dropped the lines in 4miles from the baitstation to start our trip water temp was 22.8. Couple of hours pasted and nothing but a few tunas and dolphins swimming around. Found a nice temp brake water temp was 21.6. Checking the sst charts before coming out i knew i had to head towards browns when i found the brake(current and temp brake). About 20 mins in zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz then it stopped. We quickly put the reel in free spool then bang he was on again. After a long run and some amazing tail dances he spat the hooks. We hooked up about 6mile east of the baitstation. Trolled around that area for a few more hours but didnt turn a real.Water temp 21.6 water was just great like a bloody pond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Anyone else have any luck out sydney on saturday?
  17. headed out from rose bay at 6am on saturday morning . Dropped the lines in at long reef and headed towards the baitstation. Along the way hooked about 20 stripe tunas. Got to the shelf at 10.30 temp change from 24.5 to 25.6 over the shelf then out of now where there was about 7 other boats.Did a few laps before heading to 12 mile at about 1pm. Just want to know if anyone had any luck out there?????????? The ride back in was shithouse!!!!!!!!!
  18. caught on a 11" pink pusher. Had the same debate with a mate if it was a blue or striped.looking at the shape of the middle of tail as blue has a curve and striped is straight and where the vertical lines started and as the head comes up i called it a blue. But still not a 100% sure.
  19. 10:30 am saturday morning after 10 minutes of having the lines in the water zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz we were on. After a long 2 1/2 hour fight and my back brace and gimble braking we landed this 100-110kg striped marlin. Caught only a few mile away from baitstation. Water temp 24.5 degrees.
