great photos. don t mean to sound like a @#$# just wondering how you guys managed to spend 7 hours on a stripe wich you didn t manage to land.

the smell of a jew is unique very kero like. some old timers reckon that they can smell jewys when they come into a gutter on a calm night .. the jewels are two bones called the otis they are pretty strange they are part of the earbone i believe . they are found at the top of the spine and are found in an almost plastic like poutch. the jewels get bigger as the fish gets bigger. they are almost ceramic .

fished jb kink for the last four days. had a couple of reasonable days wed we hooked 4 pulled the hooks on 3 (circles) lost 100 kg black after an hour after getting the leader in hand then having the fish take a 300m run straight down and popping the fish at the monotop shot at the braid connection ouch. saw two fish today one i est at 150 - 200 kg would not take a livey. had another up on the teaser and failed to swith him, he dropped the bait. anyone getting results out the front of jb or at the banks

hi gamebouy i am looking at heading out that way from broken bay tomorrow (wed) have you fished up there in the last couple of days or heard any reports. the marks i have are 33.22.000 and 152.08.265

where is the trench at port stephens

yeah we got caught by that same front later on up at port stephens .had four on board my cruise craft 575 we were out about 8 ks south of the carpark when we noticed it . the weather forcast was for a late north change but nothing re a southerly/ southwest change . it hit us 30 ks out after having bolted flat out for as long as we could . heavy, lightning everywhere, rain going sideways wind 35 - 40 knots. got everyone into life jackets straight away pulled out the e perb and radioed coast guard with our location. lucky it passed over within 45 mins. came out other side blue skys and light ne winds wow .... great test for the new boat . checked the internet the next day and sure enough winds were clocked at gusts 90- 100 ks .

just wondering if anyone has any news out wide off port stephens are there fin still out there

has anyone fished in both of the cruice craft 575 and 625 explorers. is there much difference between the two hulls . i want to be able to go out wide off port st chasing marlin. any thoughts
