Nice one Brett, And you're always welcome mate. Even though my first dollie was a baby it was still awesome to see their amazing colours and even tho it was a small dollie you can see from the photo and they way that I'm holding it, he had alot to say when pulled out of the water. hopefully next time we'll get something more substantial, a couple of Bulls would be right on the cards.!
What a battla!! No Fish but you managed to catch a bloke on board your own boat....classic. Well mate this really does prove the mainar curse! haha Just kidding mate. It sounds like you had an absolute cracker of a time and great report by the way, you must have been gutted you didnt pull one of those monsters aboard, well there always next time i guess. Give me a buzz when you get back, i'm keen to head out and target the infamous harbour kings again. Talk to you soon bud.
Dont worry mate, we'll get them next time! i'm very keen to go out again. May have to wear a poncho as one of my favourite jumpers got inked by the squid, oh well, its was worth it for catching my first squid, what a beauty!
ONYOURWAAY!
thanks for the feedback guys i really appreciate it. Caine thanks for the offer but i'm going to go for a brand newie, so i know what its been through, plus half the excitement is unwrapping, just like an early xmas prezzie.
I have a separate hand help gps but i think it might be an idea to go with a sounder that has gps built in.
Thanks again guys.
Ben
Hey guys,
I was wondering if someone could help me choose a new fish finder/sounder. At the moment i'm running a battling old school 300 series hummingbird which is giving me the Sugar Honey Iced Tea'S and has no doubt hindered my efforts to reel in that big kingie. I have a mate that runs a lowrance finder which was apparently quite cheap and does a very good job. looking to spend a little more this time around approx $350 - $400. Would of course love to spend less but i'd like to get a quality finder that will have a good life span and of course find me some top fishing spots.
Any and all suggestions would be much appreciated.
cheers
Ben
