  4. I found some info on this webpage which might help. http://www.foodauthority.nsw.gov.au/consum...arbour-seafood/ Dioxin levels in fish Ashley
  5. Mate had the same problem one day. Went through about 30 lures over an hour period. Thought they would leave but managed to work them out in the end. They would only take a 10 gram raider on 10pound braid. Reel fairly fast! You'll find when you get them and look in the stomach they are full of white bait! Ash
  6. Hi all, Noticed this on the Today show (Ch 9) the other morning. The crazy fisherman catches a Marlin from a Helicopter. If you go to the the site below then do a search on marlin master at the top of the page. http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?mkt=en-au&brand=ninemsn Crazy stuff!!! Ash
  7. thanks! Great pics! Helps heaps!
  8. Hi all, I've been catching these in the past few days around the mouth of Pittwater. Are they Mack Tuna or Frigate Tuna (Frigate Mackeral)? (The bottom fish in the top picture is a Tailor) Thanks all Ashley
  9. Hello, Didn't see the trophy in the bait shop but checked out Crowdy Head. Looks great.
  10. Hi Roberta, All the keeper flatties were on prawns. We were using soft plastics and hard bodies too. Only hooked tailor and the toady on them. Ash
  11. We went out on Christmas morning for our first fish in the Manning River around Harrington. Very beautiful area! We were pretty much the only people in the river. Nice and calm with an incoming tide and slightly over cast. Rain was predicted but didn’t turn up thankfully. We managed to get 5 flatties from the boat ranging between 40 – 55cms which made a nice xmas dinner. Also hooked a toady on a lure which was bizarre! The day before we had a quick fish on the breakwall in Harrington but only caught heaps of undersize tailor that all went back. Yet again the girlfriend out fished me!
  12. G'day all, Scored myself a new TLD 20 for xmas I'm undecided whether to put mono or braid on. Probably use the reel for trolling, live baiting and some bottom bashing? Any thoughts on this one? If I go with mono would 50lb be too heavy for the reel? Thanks everyone and happy new year!
  13. Hi all, Anyone know if you can watch this online anywhere? The DVD recorder bombed out! Cheers Ash
  14. Hello again, My trolling was done with a 15hp petrol outboard. I basically leave the boat in gear and and let it drive itself. The lures go down to about 2 metres. I normally get the lures at least 30m or more back. Ash
  15. Thanks for the tips all!! Definitly good fun!!! NickN that one's a cracker!!! Happy Fishing all!
  16. Hi all, Just testing my first post! Took my boat out for a spin on Saturday in Parramatta River. Did some trolling for a couple of hours in the top weather! We hooked up a few Brim, Flathead and Tailor all on hard bodied lures. All fish were sent back to swim another day!! Ash
  17. G'day mate! Good job with the flatties!!! You had better luck than us! It was me that walked past you just after 7am with the rod and soft plastic when the wind picked up. We went around the creek and got a small flattie and whiting after the rocks.
  18. Awesome Site!!! Think I need to increase my internet plan :-) Thanks!!!
