Cuttles are fantastic bait for kings. I got a samson and a king at longy on Saturday so there must be a few around. The samsons are a beautiful looking fish. Mine was about 45cm.

You can also kill them by pinching them just behind the eyes. Same, you will see them go white when they die. Not sure that you need any new spots, you did bloody well out of that one. I tried malabar from the kayak on Tuesday but didn't get any. Were you off the car park or or in the bay at Clovelly ?

I haven't fished around there for a while but when I did I found the point on the north side of bronte beach to be good. The other spot that worked for me was the rocks next to the icebergs pool and bondi. Good luck.

I picked up one at 152cm and another around the 130 mark a couple of weeks ago so the big ones are there. Always a challenge in a kayak.

Great to see that the hook had nearly rusted through, I wonder how long it had been in. Top fish when there are so many rats around.

Hi John, i was on Andy's boat. You did well to boat those kings. I had one blistering run but it took me through the prop. At least with some dollies still around, i brought home a feed. cheers Kerry

perhaps a 15 hp attached to your back like a backpack, pull cord and throttle over the shoulder and away you go.

great bait for kings as they are generally tougher than squid. the thick legs or candles are the best. If it is big enough strip baits are the way to go.
