Any luck prawning Steve?

I'll be heading down to wollongong to fish at windang for some whitings. On the way there, I might try and fish the breakwalls at the coal terminal. I was wondering whether they still close the gates at 7pm every night? thanks

i've been there a couple times and i'm still trying to catch my first bonnie.

nono i dont mind the trip there being 1-2 hour its just getting back carrying all the stuff will try yarra bay before the holiday ends cause i have to go back to school but how do i know where is a good spot to fish? also when i catch fishes should i bleed them immediately?

yea thanks for the advice will look into it but even though i know how to good there how do i know wheres the exact good spot for fishing? and i live in Cabramatta it takes about an hour to get to circular quay and it takes forever just to get back i just want to go to a spot where i just off at a station and walk a couple of minutes to the spot and fish soo if you have any advice or spots please let me know thank you

i am also interested in fishing landbased spot aroudn sydney i am only 16 soo i cant drive anywhere so i have to go with my friends and get off at a station then walk there i usually go to circular quay station and then walk to pier 2 but heard that the fish there arent good for eating =/ and now i want to find a land based spot where it is a good spot and safe to eat fish

awesome catch mate my mates and i caught only 2 undersize bream sunday . i caught 5 flatties at narrabeen on monday landbase, so i think it's time for me to invest in a boat.

i bought one last year and i found it useless compare to my old halogen one. I'm not sure if it's the same one u're referring. the led one i bought had a blueish light output hopefully the newer ones are better

was it low tide? low tide u'll get more. Also one thing to note is that while iwas pumping there 3 months ago, some local told me that i'm not allowed to pump for worms anymore b/c it's damaging the environment. He said there were so many people coming all the time and the council no longer allows this. He said there ave heavy penalty for what we are doing. i don't know whether it's true or not, but i left after he said that.

sorry guys, i should have been more specific, i normally fish here and generally catch a few flatheads and breams, baits are peel prawns and whitebait. it was about 9pm i think it was high tide.

i went fishing at narabeen lakes over the weekend and i didn't even get one bite. i was fishing under wollies bridge. i thought it was me but the person next to me didn't have any luck as well. Has the lake been close off?

i think i'll be heading to Windang as well, b/c my mate went to the entrance last night and said there were hardly any prawns running. Also it looks like the Entrance will be pack as well. He said there were heaps of people fishing

i caught 10 prawns, which i ended up using as bait. i ended up with 3 whitings and 2 flathead the tide was flowing but the prawns weren't running apparently, may be it wasn't the right time. i got there about 9 and prawn to 11pm. i probably go again this weekend to give it another go.

i heading up the entrance tonight to try my luck out. The weather doesn't look too good, but i only have the weekends off, so i might as well give it a go. wish me luck guys, hopefully it won't rain on me
