Hey lure spinner the rod ive caught more species of fish on than any other is my sic stic by studwick 1-3 kg with a libra tica 3000 this rod can cast small bream sp's and hb's but has heaps of power in the but the biggest fish ive caught on it was a 15 kg jewies the drags smooth and ive never had any problems with it other than my best mate stepping on the tip and breaking it off but it only cost him $50 for a new top half its my confidence rod and its great fun catching fish on

Thats the biggest long tom ive ever seen and there aggresive too i remember catching one at Kiama when i was rock fishing we put him in a rock pool and when we put a rod tip in the water it would attack it and snap at anything that moved the funniest part was when my mate put his rod tip in for the 10th time just to piss it off it came up and bit the end clean off After about 5 mins i finally composed myself only to see my mate trying to get rod tip back by trying to distract yhr longtom with bait so he could reach into the rock pool and grab it he never did get that rod tip back

Hey rob fix the old girl you can go fishing from the shore anytime and having a car helps you get there mate theres no use having a boat if you cant tow it unless you live on the water ow and the fishing club boat is avalable most of the time and they have that tinny i was telling you about too ill get us some membership details and find out when the skipper is heading out next

It was a great night putting faces to the names was good my head hurts too Rob the only crappy thing about the night was the monkeys at the door wouldnt let me back in without ID usually that wouldnt piss me off but i worked at the Mortdale Hotel for 2 years IDIOTS so i had to go home to get it .Had a great night regardless Oh and outnumbered my sister thinks your a crack up she enjoyed herself untill next time

Id give soft plastics a go the squigy range in the 130 mm look great and the extra weight makes it easy to cast into the surf just cast out and work the gutters with a slow retrieve and jig it up every now and then if you feel a hit set the hooks strait away as they tend to spit out sps pretty quick once hooked set the hook 2 or 3 moor times then hang on for the ride i wreckon the bigger the better.....

The raiders were fish raiders . Thursday night as planned crazyfisherdude, marlin_dc, John from A1 dicount tackle and myself went for a jewie spin i got off work early and decided to go a little earlier to catch the sun going down.I had a plan for them to rock up to find a jewie sitting on the board walk with a big smile on my face and a story to tell i spun for an hour and got 3 hits but no solid hook ups. Crazyfisherdude came and we started to spin the tide was racing in and it was a little hard to work the bottom where they should have been holding i did manage to catch 4 of my sp's that i had lost on previous trips wich was a bonus. Marlin_DC and John came with 1\2 hour till the tide topped out and the company was good John caught a nice 57cm flatty so things were looking up we kept spinning and i think everyone got a few hits but the jewies just wern't playin cricket John got busted up by an unstopable fish when his rod tip was pointing to the sky after jigging the sp up his rod justs buckled over then Wack it was over befor it started the tide topped out and things went quiet but we battled on with a few hits anf John again loosing a fish this time because he was on the phone we decided to call it a night with 10 hits 2 hookups 1 flatty and 4 sp's . As the saying goes if it was easy everyone would be doing it sniff......sniff until next time fellas Tight Lines

Friday night decided to go for a jewie spin at a spot that has produced the goods time and time again. I got there with a mate at 11pm with 3 hours till the tide topped out after a warm cut of tea we got into it my mate using squigies in drop bear that have worked well before and i was using 5 inch berkley jerk baits that have rewarded me with jewies to 15 kgs anyway it was really really quit usually theres bait fish and praws skipping about but nadda after catching a nice 72 cm flatty i had a little more faith the fish were feeding but with each cast my hopes dwindled other than one decent hit and catching one of my lures i lost last time it was dead. a unanimus decision was made o go home when a noticed a thin layer of frost on my tackle box we didnt hang around for the run out well thats fishing tight lines have a good one fellas
