  1. Good onya Chris, Brighton finally outfished Bonna point!
  2. what about yakka???? Nipper or pillie though, i find an unbeatable combo for trev, bream, whiting, flathead, tailor etc burley with pille and bread a plash of tuna oil and fish with nippers! I've seen school jew be taken on nipper!
  3. i hope it seized before he got to the boat ramp! We used a little bit as strip bait, then i filleted and skinned it alond with the tailor wich went straight on the barbie, the salmon however got the beer batter treatment when i got home!
  4. G'day all, Me and my mates/girlfriends decided to hire out a couple of party pontoons on saturday and all i can say is that we had a ball, they are perfectly decked out and very well priced at $350 per boat for the whole day! Between 12 people per boat it cost us $40 each (we makerd the price up $10 each so we could buy some grog and food) They have toilets tables and chairs, ice boxes and gas barbies. And they move along at perfect trolling pace! I took my little bream rod along with the intent of throwing around some of my new squidgy flick baits where ever we anchored up. But seeing as we were on the move i decided to troll a little 15g silver halco out the back, with beer in hand making general conversation with the rest of the boat, i made the call "f*%k, stop the boat, i think i'm snagged" once the boat stopped, the snag was still peeling of line regardless of how tight i set my drag, so i had to start to put my back into it as i was seeing blue backing on my spool when i put some preasure on him, and to the rest of the crews amazement we had some nice arial work from my snag, after about 3 more back flips i boated this little beauty....... After boating this at the mouth of gunnamatta bay (no where near shiprock) we headed around to lilli pilli where a dolphin decided to breach near the boat and say g'day... I trolled up one more tailor to 40cm near deer park when some jerk decided to over take us at the back of the boat taking with him about 50m of my fireline and my lure! All in all great weather, good mates and pleanty of grog made it a great day to be alive and on the water!

  6. G'day mate, good catch! How do you work the berkly power minnow's, i cant get them to work on flatty for some reason and i'm pretty sure i'm doing something wrong?
  7. i think its fair to assume that the ever improving fishing in botany bay would be a direct result of the licence buyouts, which was funded by rec licences. shame i cant say the same for the shoalhaven!
  8. G'day mate i caught and kept one on saturday and i bled and skinned and filleted it, made up a beer batter and deep fried the fillets, i thought it tasted pretty good, i've had nicer fish but i also really enjoy the tatse of fish. And i had a few cans under my belt by that point!
  9. I can personally vouch that there is salmon in prot hacking! Only got one but on little bream gear and expecting copper tailor, so say i was suprised is an undertsatment!
  10. Haha, mate i was furious, i had been on the water all day and only had my bream rod, and was coming around for another troll on the same spot i had caught a nice salmon that returned the half spool of line to me after taking me back to the backing! So after this jerk did this to me it was all over for the fishing side of things, lucky the esky was still half full of
  11. Sounds like a good day out, some jerk did the exact same thing to me in the hacking, we were trolling when this idiot came flying past behind us to overtake, i lost my favourite halco and around 50m of fireline. I'm praying for a seized moter for him next time he ventures outside!
  12. Who is fishing the hacking tomorrow (saturday), its my mates b'day and we're hiring a couple of part pontoons, i plan to drag a squidgy around for most of the day so i might pick up an unlucky fish, but other than that i plan on lots of and good times If you see us about say gday!

Take for example these two bruisers i got. These fish were halfway up the container wall at about the No41 marker onthe wall at about 4-5 mteres depth, around 3-4 meters from the edge! EDIT: Sorry mate. Edited out the parts that don't conform to site rules!
