Guest madsmc
Nice swamp trout Alex. Good to hear the tips worked out for you. It always a nice feeling to put a few on the bank and know that you're doing the waterway, and native fish, a huge favour. Shane
pjfrad
So exactly what worked for you in the end? Where were you fishing? Peter
Alex
So exactly what worked for you in the end? Where were you fishing? Peter Hi Peter, The corn kernels where the ones that did the trick in Canberra. But funny enough, a little bit of bread berley brought them around. I berleyed with both but they didn't know the corn was there until they came for the bread, then all they wanted was the corn. The first two where the best. Sight fished'em from the shore. simple sinker rig for them, but the other two where taken on a float with about a 70cm drop. Early arvo, they wanted the sinker rig ( squidgy head believe it or not) but later they wanted the float.

pjfrad
Alex, Thanks for the reply. Sounds interesting with the changing feeding patterns. Perhaps the smell of the bread lures them in for the corn? I'm thinking of giving Manly Dam a go soon to try for some Carp. Maybe see if I can get one on the fly rod. Peter
