Don't think you will find to many 11 / 12' glass boats around due to the price of tinnies in this size being far less expensive than glass. Have a look at Polycraft , they may make a boat in that size Personally I lean towards aluminium as they can take a few hits on boat ramps etc without damage. The trade off is , they can become uncomfortable in a short chop with the traditional "tinnie bang" Motor wise , 9hp would be OK but would recomond 15hp. Always nice to have a few extra horses should the need arrise Geoff
pjbink Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 An 11- 12 ft tinnie is a bit marginal safety wise for Botany Bay. Its shallow and unprotected and so can get very choppy when the wind gets up.
