G'day,

Took off yesterday for a day inside the Hawkesbury as the weather report was not conducive of a day outside. BY 9am there was not a breath of air and the water was like glass. We stuck our heads outside and the swell was about 2 foot and a very slight breeze. We tried bottom bouncing at the Valiant wreck about a kilometre east of Barrenjoey and were bitten off more times that we wanted to count by leatherjackets. THey were everywhere and following the lines up to the surface.

The bait was not even getting close to the bottom before the line went slack and we had lost our gear. We packed up and moved about 400m east of Lion Island and got about a dozen lizards on prawns, most of which were returned.

Coming back in at 3pm the water was calmer again, thanks to the weather people, a day outside was missed.

Hey, Deano it beats working!

Did you end up with a feed?

Check out the report by Mrs Swordfish (Ross Hunter)...... Run in from Browns at night can be very rough to say the least.
