  13. Have been waiting for weeks to get out and last night decided to make it a day. A few phone calls and crew organised. Left WHarf Rd Rydalmere at 9am in my soon to be Quintrex 560 Freedomsport after taking the tinlids to kindy and headed for the heads. It was a bit choppy but small swell. Went out to Murphy's reef and picked up a decent lizard at 40cm and a few smaller fish. Then we headed towards Manly and started to troll around the headland to North Head with two christmas trees out. Half way along both rods start singing. Turned the boat out to sea and grabbed one of the rods. A few minutes later two lovely fat salmom that went just on 60cm inside the boat. Biggest ones that I have had the pleasure of catching. You bloody ripper. A write this as I suck down my first Very Best (VB) for the evening. Tried another pass, but no luck. Trolled to middle harbour where we bottom bashed for a little while and catch plenty of undersize bream. Headed back to Parra River and pulled the boat out at 2.15pm. Short day, but beats being at work and the weather was great. If the wind dies slightly I shall be ont he water again Friday, lets hope. As soon as my mate emails me the pics I shall post them. Deano Got the pics finally.
  14. G'day mate, I quite often fish in front of Lion Island about 500 metres directly east of it. I always pick up bream, snapper and the occasional flatties on hawkesbury prawns. Good luck, Deano
  15. Super lizard, fish of a life time that one. Did it go back in the water?
  16. Lovely lizard there. WHat did he go, looks about 50cm?
  17. Champ, that looks mighty cold over there. Looks like a good catch, but they are some ugly looking fish. Is it just me, or does that pink lure in the box look like something else with a hook put through the end. Something you may find in an adult store????? If they work let us know, I am happy to try something different.
  18. Lovely lizards, Great to see someone out there and catching fish and doing fishing reports as I have been fairly bored this week going into my computer with nothing to read about. Enjoy your dinner!
  19. Thats TOPS!!!! Good on ya! Great lizard.
  20. Great story, love it. Nice fish too!
  21. Great catch mate, what river down the coast were you in?
  22. There are some good looking blokes there. Dude, you forgot to mention the eye candy at the chinese restaurant in the bowling club!!!!
  23. G'day, I quite often fish near the bridge from my boat and get quite a few flatties close in to shore on the north western corner. Basically opposite the marina and on the the western side. There a some small rocks around there and there is also a drop off about 15 to 20 metres out from the edge, so you should be able to cast to it with ease. Good luck, Deano
  24. G'day Raiders, Thought I would share my day with you. Left home at 4.50am and got to Berowra ramp at 5.30am. Were on the water in ten minutes and off towards Lion Island. The weather was absolutely perfect. As we were nearing The Vines the sun started to make its appearance and water was a picture. Got to Lion Island and started fishing about 1 kilometre in front of it. It wasn't long and two juvenile snapper had made it into the boat. The second was just legal, but I threw him back in hope of catching one if his older relatives. My mate that came along today was now very quiet and not fishing. Dare I ask? I did and the answer was, "I'm not feeling to good." So off we go for a quick stop at Patonga so he could purge his servo sausage roll and iced coffee which was bought from "Apu." Set off back to Juno and drifted from there back to the bridges on the eastern side of Dangar Island. ON the back of the island I picked up a 43cm lizard, which I was happy about. Moved west of the vines and then around some oyster leases, but no more success. Whilst I was sitting on the beach at Patonga waiting for the demon to find its way out of my mate, I sat and watched in disgust the six trawlers working out the front of Patonga and down towards Juno Point. THe beach was covered in weed and I was told by a local on their morning walk that it has only been there since the trawlers have been active. No wonder fish are becoming so hard to find anymore. I just wanted to have a whinge, I know people have to work, but there was bloody six of them working the same area. HAd a great day anyway, better then being at work and thursday the boys and I off to Currarong for four days. Bring it on. Also the tailor were busting up the water in front of lion island while we were there, there were heaps of them Deano
