mako1
I know that it's hard to predict but does anybody have an idea when the tuna season usually ends.I know the water is starting to warm up at browns so does that mean the tuna will start to pack up and follow the cooler water down south?.Also I've heard that the tuna usually take a break during October and then the bigger fish come on again in November for a short time. Not sure if that is true. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
netic
Tuna can be caught in all sorts of water temp from 16 to 30 degrees, so dont believe in all these misconceptions that the Tuna season is dependant on water temperature. It all has to do with the East Australian current, in which it is pushing a lot of warm water South and in close at the moment, and as it has it, A LOT of tuna are in it. We will probably be catching them up until Christmas, but the bigger fellas of 30 plus will probably be around until October, then they will push out to sea... but you never know, stranger things have happened. Couldnt agree with you more Keepin tabs
