Geoff
Left Cooks around 6.45am & headed to the 3rd runway. Drifted in on the S/W wind , yep , the weather man got it wrong. Predicted N/W. Not to worry Result , one small red.. Moved around M.P. into Yarra bay for some squid & livies. Not a sausage. 2 other boats near by , same result . Motored across the bay & outside. Heaps of boats , other than a 1.3mt Wobby shark no action Drifted over Watts Reef & into the bay , no improvement. Boats around us , same story Down to Towra , tried several spots for one small flattie. 1.00pm , called it a day. The water was a bit chilly , perhaps that did not help , just have to try another day Geoff
mottyman
Hi Geoff, Well, glad I decided to say home.... Surprising lack of fish there... seems nothing wanted to play... Of course it could have been worse if those other boats near you were pulling fish over the side!!! At least you know it wasn't just you! Cheers David. Lasty
We also fished the Bay on Saturday. Put in at about 0800 due to a huge Friday lunch at Manly and fished the third runway, MP, the refinery wharf, the groynes at Kurnell and Brightom for 1 flatty, 1 flounder and a blue swimmer crab. The water temperature was 60 degrees f so that could be one reason!
