Guest danielinbyron Posted September 27, 2006 Share Posted September 27, 2006 (edited) got this guy on a halco laserpro 190 blue .....shallow "1m" diver ... nice arvo lots of big whales doing some tail action stuff.. bit of a rainbow after a thunder storm..... anyone want a hug it went hard and sideways for a while , and fought all the way until i managed to steer it into a little gully and let the swell bring him up. got a big eyed trev too.. CFD !>>sorry dudes did we get pic... 2/ nice sashimi yeah ... best curry but bit kind of tuff for the sush... absolute best is to cook in lime juice coconut and whatever spice or curry flavors in fridge over night reheat and serve. caught at the matahorn...north end of lighthouse proper 3.. we call them Turrum .. Cheers, Grant. mate this wasn't even 4 kegs.. 4 kegs of pure goin the other way muscle but... my biggest is 5.8 and it was a freak around here... this time of year is good for em... i just looked up Turrum which i thought was a different species to GT... but starlo says "TURRUM common but wrong" doesn't elaberate or anything... just common.. but wrong.. he can do that ... he's starlo...say what he bloody well likes really.. sorry i bin strugglin with mac and photo size.. this is a great morn on feathers landing 10 or so nice fish from same spot.. 2 mactuna were a buzz ,, kept one cos the dog loves em other i used for bait.. ref#check out home made feathers recipe in tackle talk Edited September 28, 2006 by danielinbyron Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As far as I can see, that is a GT - Turrum (Carangoides fulvoguttatus) is another name for the Gold-Spotted trevally, which is far more elongate than what you caught - a Giant Trevally (Caranx ignobilis).
