kbark
didn't get an early start today and thought it was going to be slow after only 1 touch in half an hour. moved to a favourite spot and picked up 3 flatties in 4 casts. two were over 40cm and the other was undersize. a couple of casts later i picked up a 55cm long tom? hadn't caught one in the lake before and that's a pb for me. all fish were returned today (already had a good feed this week). what do you do with long toms? hope to see you at the jew social. kit
pk-fishn
nice session and some good fish... are you sure it wasnt a river or sea garfish as there have been a few reports of them in the lake lately. if it was a garfish these fish are excellent eating when quickly fried. if it was a long tom well i havent eaten one before but i have heard there bones are coloured greeny?? well done on the session. cheers pk
FletcherG1991
it would have been a long tom as there are usually a few in the lake ..... they dont taste good but make good bait (apparently)..... some good bass have been caught in there aswell latley..... i didn't even know they where in there
