Harbour Bream

It was with high hopes of finding some of those elusive harbour EPs that Fishrunner (Brad) and I hit the ramp on saturday morning and headed to the upper reaches of the harbour. Not surprisingly the EPs didnt want to play, but fortunately there were other fish in the sea!

The first aboard was a little Trev (must have been lost) which was a surprise with where it was caught.

From then onwards we had at least 2 dozen flatties ranging from tiny to average (about 45cm) smash a range of lures.

Brad also managed a few little whiting on a hardbody over the flats.

We also managed a few good bream, but oveall we had to work hard for the fish even moreso once the wind started coming up.

None the less is was good to be on the water and not stuck at home or work!!!

Heres the pics of 2 of the best bream caught yesterday.

A good day was had :biggrin2: ,

More decent bream are always welcome though!

After a few whiting , disorientated trevally and some good bream, we targeted the flatties(they had been greedy bycatch all morning) as the wind came up to make life a lil easier, bigger jighead and larger plastic stops the wind creating dramas with you're line bowing :biggrin2:

cheers thanks for the day Jewel
