Me and a friend managed two legal kings from middle harbour this week but the highlight was a chap fishing on his own from his trusty quinny who got smoked by a big hoodlem kingy!

The guy was fishing beside us about ten metres away when all we heard was CRACK! then the sound of a drag singing the blues.It was all over before the guy could do anything but boy it was good to see.

He hooked up on a live squid and 40lb braid, so he said.

This is looking very promising for the season ahead.
