Penguin
I was down at Rose bay today checkin out some boats, While walking along the beach between Rose bay marina and Point Piper mariner i noticed quite a few descent size Bream in the shallows(2ft),also present were a few good size Tailor and Mullet, these fish were all sifting along the bottom looking for a feed.Oh how i wished i had a rod with me,i'll have to bring one along next time, watching fish feeding and not being able to have a crack at em is frustrating. penguin

Penguin
Has anyone ever gone fishing in their boat only to never leave the marina or ramp cos the action there was so hot? A mate and i luanched at Rose Bay ramp about a year ago,and while my mate went to park the car and trailer, i saw fish busting up in the shallows where there is a drop off of 2mtrs, right next to the old floating restuarant next to the ramp. I boated 8 Tailor to 45cm while my buddy stood on the ramp watching me,and i refused to go pick him up till the action died down. penguin

henryinnis
I fish at Rose Bay Wharf a bit, we have seen massive blackfish, tons of Jackets, and a guy has pulled in kingies and tailor. He didn't cast far either. Its a great place to fish and there is tons of squid as well!
Penguin
A guy at Rose Bay wharf last Friday had a King hooked on a handline, when it saw him it took off, and he burnt his hand on the line and let go, lost all his line,so they are there. penguin Edited December 5, 2006 by penguin
stylo
Hey guys, Great read. What part of the tide would be good to fish here ? I've been past a few times (during low tide) and there were lots of seaweed on the sea bed etc. so shd be good for fish feeding (and snags in my case) SO would it be safe to assume that on the rising tide to a couple of hours past high ? Definitely not low tide .. ? Edited December 7, 2006 by stylo
