evan rude Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 just wondering everyones thoughts on keeping fresh squid to be used a day or two later. do you freze or refrigerate?

namesay Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 If you want to catch kings on "old" squid yo uhave to handle them very carefully. DO NOT rinse them in freshwater. This will ruin them for sure. Put them in a zip lock bag and get all the air out. If you have one of those plastic food preservers use it. DO NOT freeze them as when they thaw they will become hard and stiff and pink.... Kings will not touch pink squid. Put them in the fridge where it is cold but not freezing...at the bottom shelf. SHould be Ok for a couple of days. Cheers Kelvin
