kabz Posted December 17, 2006 Share Posted December 17, 2006 (edited) gdya fellow raiders Headed over to botany bay this morning arrived on water by around 6am and headed straight to Spot X near the hot water outlet and straight away got into some nice trves den all went quit till the sound of the reel goes of wit a piece of pilli on it after a 10min fight on light gear i caught a 70cm kingie then i thought ill throw a hole squid to see my luck ten mintues later zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz didnt want to stop took around 200metres of line was running out till he took me around the pylons or snaged me dunnu but i only gained like 2metres of line the hole wy wat u guys rekon big king also caught some yellowtails and tailor will post pic of kingfish when i have time. kabz Posted December 17, 2006 Author Share Posted December 17, 2006 yer its true always when i catch a trev a kingie follows it or before i catch a kingie i catch trevs very werd also if it was a kingfish it musta been at least 90cm mark do they get that big around the bay? kabz Posted December 17, 2006 Author Share Posted December 17, 2006 lol u wouldnt believe wagt i caght it on a bait jig with 3hooks for a little piece of pilchard on the bottom but for the big king i missd a whole squid on that 2hook rig used for jewfish alosi think around 15metres of water.ALso berlied up hard with just normal pellets and pilis Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
