scareb77
Thanks Stewy - much appriecated. Is there any law against pumping for yabbies though? Steve B
Guest johblow
Yeomans Bay is also very good, and has a larger area of holes, but the place Stewy is talking about is really easy to access.
scareb77
Thanks - I'll give it a shot tomorrow morning after high tide regards Steve B
FletcherG1991
was pumping yabbied at about 4:00 this arvo. Yeomans has them buy there thousands at the moment (i literally put my had in the mud and pulled one out ) worth having a flick with the SP at low tide aswell. pulled 3 flatties in half an hour. the end of Smiths Creek had a fair few last week aswell but not sure how there going at the moment. ive always found that Jerusulam is very over rated when it comes to pumping yabbies but the fishing in there is great
Guest johblow
Hey Fletch, at Jerusalem Bay, you need to go to the northern end of the sand flats. The density of the yabbies is much greater there, and they are bigger too, if thats what you like. Its much more productive than the other side near where the water flow goes up that nice little creek. But, youve gotta watch out for the rays there - there always seems to be a few when im there. The other thing about jerusalem bay is that the the low tides there always seem high!!! It might just be my timing :-)
