Dalucius
My husband and I are considering chasing jewfish next Thursday night on the Hawkesbury around Bar Point. As we a beginners at this we would appreciate any tips on bait (where to get live bait), rigs etc. We usually release the fish we catch but what do you guys normally do with jewfish? What size is the best to eat? If we get a biggy how can we store it on the boat, we usually only have an esky. From some of the pictures I have seen in here there are some big jewies out there and I wonder how you get them in your boat without gaffing them? Sorry for sounding dumb but as I said we haven't caught any big stuff yet. Thanks for you help, hopefully we will get to bring some home.
