Cowan Creek

Had a fish this morning with Burnsy up at Cowan after the rain.

The bream were playing hard to get with us both missing a couple of chances.

However Burnsy managed to stay connected to this little guy long enough to get a couple of pics.

I scored 5 flatties (no real size) and pulled out of a couple of bream, while Burnsy got a couple of flatties to top the session off.

All in all an enjoyable morning.

Were you guys up past the blue sinking barge and using a motoguide electric. If so the nthat was me in the little plastic boat setting crab traps. I got a couple of nice blueys

yes that was us,

we saw you guys drop a crab when we came back for a second shot.

There were a few bream under that barge, didn't want to play ball though. java script:emoticon('',%20'smid_17')We'll come over and introduce ourselves next time.

Today I was too tired and lazy to fish lures so just anchored up and drowned prawns. must have caught a million snapper around 20cm from next to the barge. One barely legal bream (released) and two keeper flatties. Haraka dropped a ripper flattie next to the boat

Regarding bream in the area, Have only got a few on lures there but the interesting thing I have found is that hard bodies have worked better then sp on them there. The area is tops for flatties though. I fondly call that barge the old faithfull
