kw367
Hey Kw, We got a mixed bag, nothing to write home about but we were catching which is the main thing.Got about 10 small snapper, biggest about 25cm.Few small Bream and Leatherjacket.Managed to Jag a Blue swimmer crab through the leg aswell, The bay opposite church point is definately worth a try, your son will get plenty of bites there and enjoy watching the sea-planes take off/land. Thanks Strikey Pete, I've heard Little Jerusalem is also good. There is certainly a lot more action in Cowan besides the fishing than there is in Berowra. Next time I'll head straight there and if the fish aren't biting, we'll head to Refuge Bay for a swim at the beach. I've decided I'm a fan of drifting, as we had a lot of success that way up at Port Stephens. Any places to recommend in Cowan?
kw367
Thanks for the tips Stikey Pete & Heath. We fished the bay yesterday and it was as you said, lots of little stuff, few different species. Kept PJ (& me) interested when bites were hard to come by elsewhere. I am happy to catch the little ones no one else wants!
