I've seen the action pretty hot off the Avoca platform - sometimes, I can look over from North Avoca beach and see the platform looking like an echidna with all the rods! Avoca produces fish like that every year and it is renowned for its tailor,salmon and bonitos with the occassional good king or cobia .. i find the platfrom fishes well in summer wen the pelaegics heat up ..
