Davemmm
Hit PH early saturday morn without much luck. Once the sun came up I grabbed a heap of nippers and pulled out the light gear. After a reasonable couple of hours (four fish) I decided to call it a morning and proceded to reel in. As I'm bringing one rod in the rod in the holder starts bending so I dropped the first one in the bottom of the boat and grabbed it out of the rod holder. Unfortunately I quickly discovered I simply had a snag so I start pulling it in when the original rod kicks and jumps in the bottom of the boat. Rather than dissapearing over the side (like you are all thinking) it got jammed under an oar and snapped ten inches off the top. Go back to the second rod that is still dragging a snag and wound in to reveal I had landed a rod and reel. Finished up with a 25cm bream on the busted little breamin outfit I got from Watto's and scored a seven ft sheakunderwatere that hadnt been in the water for all that long. Davemmm
Hook and line were wrapped around the rod. The reel was one of them cheap shimanos FX jobs. Gave it a rinse and thats all and it seems to be working fine.
