Has anyone got any tips on fishing browns? cheers james First of all catch a 3kg or less Striped Tuna and bridle him with a bloody big hook, the size of the hook should be in the same ratio as you would use for your Yakka's. Do zig zags across the reef, up and down the mountain. Allowing yourself to travel off 500m or so as the fish hang off it too, not just smack bang in the middle. As for your lures, make sure you use that homemade teaser of yours, these help a lot, you may also want to throw in 1 or 2 lures hookless as extra teasers. The more activity in the water the better. I'm no expert as I've never caught one but have done a whole stack of reading, books and internet sites and 90% of them say 8-9 knots is the speed to go for them.
