Squiding

I was wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers to catching squid and if possible a good jig and a reliable spot around botany or sydney harbour??

anywhere where you see Kelp you should get squid if there around

They're strange buggers though, i was throwing sx 40's around after bream yesterday , and all i could get were squid ( all conveniently dropped just before land) one after the other. I replaced my hard bodie with a jig the same colour...no luck. Then i try green, pink, blue and white....no luck. So the sx 40 goes back on and first cast another squid Bad mood indeed!

yep it happens, i can have a laugh now but DAMN! I did hook a nice bream to settle the nerves, though it took some work getting around all those squid!!!

Mate go the yo-zuris in any colour, 1.8g and if you can get a hold of a 1.6g(arriving in stores within the next few weeks) they are excellent lures.
