Luringbream
I stand corrected i didnt realise we had the giant Cuttlefish in our waters, thought they were only in south australia. They can live up to 24mnths ,6 mnths more than i thought. Due to their life cycle (short life span and spawn only once in their lifetime) overfishing in a single year can cause the stock to collapse. Currently there are no management restrictions in place to limit the number of cuttlefish that can be caught. I will rethink my Bait theory after doing a bit of research. Cheers Luringbream Jason Mate take as many as you need for bait, they are great bait both stripped and as candles! They arn't bad on the tooth either. In regards to my comment, i just thought i'd mention that they do grow alot bigger than the one you see in the pic. DAN
Laredo
cuttlefish taste fantastic, meatier and more tendoer than the boring old squid. I wasn't referring to taste so much as the cleaning of them and skinning all that membrane I never keep a big one for bait because you'll never use it all and because squid are much easier to find By the way just noticed the little photo of the squid.. They are good sizes
