autocad Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 hi all, I'm heading up to bateau bay/beach near the entrance for the long weekend. I was wondering if there are any fishing spots (landbased) around the area. I will be staying at a place called the blue (something) right infront of the beach there. Can the beach be fished for the usual beach species? I would prefer a light beach fishing for whiting/bream or some estuary fishing. thanks in advance
sparkles Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Not to sure on BBay, but the entrance always has your usual estury species. Look up some old reports, might give you a better idea. Arch

kingpig Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 If you walk down the stairs onto the beach and head to the right there is a decent rock platform. I have caught good pigs of these rocks. Be careful this weekend as the swell is predicted to pick up towards the end of the week. Good Luck Kingpig
bart Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Try the beach for whiting. Bream early morning or late arvo. Cheers BART
