tricks
hey fellas been building up my boat recently and i have purchased two 1050 scotty downriggers for it from the states (half the price) they came with standard rod holders on the arms but dont think i'll trust my rods sitting in them so im fitting holders in the boat instead and i would like to ask which would be the best placement for the rod holders. facing towards the back of the boat or to the side or 45 degrees or does it really matter which way they sit. hope someone can help before i start cutting holes into it cheers patrick

netic
As you can see on the videos i have my holders about 50cm behind the riggers and going on an angle straight back.... It you angle your rods that will work also...both methods are fine
