Location: Apple Tree Bay - Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

Type of ramp: 4 lane cement ramp

General Description: Located in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park in northern Sydney, 2km from Bobbin Head. ATB provides access the beautiful Cowan system as well as the lower Hawkesbury, Broken Bay, Pittwater and offshore. The run from ATB to Lion Island in a normal fishing boat is around 25 minutes. ATB can be accessed from either North Turramurra or Asquith via Bobbin Head Road. To access from the Asquith side you can exit the F3 Expressway at the Asquith Golf Course.

Parking facilities:

Ample parking is available for cars and boat trailers.

Fees:

Park entry fee is payable at the gate but this seems only to be manned during business hours. On weekends rangers will put a fee notice for $10 per day on your car (on weekdays you will often get away with not paying). If you do get a notice make sure you pay on time because NPWS will charge you extra for a reminder. Annual park passes are available for around $70.

Facilities:

There is a pontoon for easy loading and unloading of passengers and gear. A fish cleaning table is provided. All other taps have been removed however rumour has it that boat washing facilities will be reinstated after the current water shortage is over.
