Salmon

Hey all,

Just wondering if the salmon have arrived yet?

I would mainly be interested if they are in the Broken Bay/Lion Island type area, & if you have heard or been amongst them - what has been doing the damage.

Now i know there hasnt been much fishing lately, but just curious to know.

They are here but not busting the surface yet...another month and we shoud have some pretty big numbers and the birds will be diving and the salmon will be busting

Not sure about broken bay, but the harbour has deffinatley got a few! , middle harbour , north harbour and the harbour proper all holding schools. from what i have seen mostly feeding on whitebait about 2~3cm long. 7g searocks in white have been dynamite.

I got a couple off the rocks on north head on Saturday. They were strays though, not a big school.

uphere on central coast my mates got a couple yesterday but as said above just rogues... on little searocks too knowin the boys

I have been landing good size salmon on fresh squid since the beginning of last summer.

They just do not want to go home, little champs.
