wildfish Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 can some one please tell me exactly where trevally ally is, in botany bay!?
gbrown1 Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Hi If you locate the retaining wall at Port Botany on the northern side of the bay. Trevally Alley starts from the end of the retaining wall at Molineaux Point and runs north for about 40 metres.
wildfish Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 thanks gary, i thought that it was there just not sure, gave it a go today after reading your article in fish nsw. no luck on the trevally but we did land a port jackson shark!
caine Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 at the end of the runway and the hot water outlet are also good spots to get a trevally, burley with crushed pillies
abiasin Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 thanks gary, i thought that it was there just not sure, gave it a go today after reading your article in fish nsw. no luck on the trevally but we did land a port jackson shark! hey mate ive had good success in close to the wall and pylons for trevally but of course berleying is the key. i like to use a mixture of finley diced pillies, anaseed pellets and bread crumbs. when they are on its awsome fun on the light gear.
james1990 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 That day we fished along side wach other luke at the oilwharf wasn't a bad little spot just a shame the trevs didnt have much of a size to them. cheers james
