Slaka Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 I have started fishing Botany Bay a fair bit with plastics and I have seen quite a few people on here mention their success with Zoom Tiny Flukes. I am yet to find a tackle shop that sells them, does anyone know where you can get them. I live near Narellan but am happy to look anywhere.
johnno Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Hi slaka i am pretty sure Tony from Fishfinder should have them see details here Click her for Fishfinder details
Luringbream Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Dont forget that you get a special raiders discount from purchasing at Fishfinder. Mate they are cheap and really effective!! Have a search through my past posts, i have bagged out on all sorts of pelagics using them. Feel free to ask any questions regarding them. DAN
The Iceman Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Tony has them I also use them quite a bit Awesome SP when rigged on hidden weights I also live near Narellan and it takes me about 40min to get to Fishfinder tackle as long as you pick your times to go to miss any tunnel traffic Well worth the visit but ring first to make sure Tony is there
gerg Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 I'm sure Tony will mail them to you if you can't get out there. cheers, Greg
Slaka Posted July 19, 2007 Author Posted July 19, 2007 Thanks guys, I might send hima PM to see if he can mail some out. What jigheads tend to work best. I usually use 1 or 1/0 hooks on anywhere from 1/8 to 1/16 but I always struggle to hit bottom, is 1/4 ounce a little too much?
Luringbream Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Mate, it all really depends on what species you are targeting?? Furthermore, you should alter your jighead weights according to the area you are fishing and the specific structure you are hitting. Im assuming you are boatbased? So; 1) Are you targeting a specific species, if so what species? Alternatively are you after a mixed bag? 2) What structure are you most likely going to be fishing? Once i know this information, it will make it easier for me to give you a direct answer and hopefully put you in the right direction for a few fish! I also have a few hot spots depending on what species you are after. If its pelagics you are after, heres a few good tips on what to use and how to use them: http://fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.ph...144&hl=zoom http://fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.ph...386&hl=zoom DAN

So it will really depend on the condiitons and the luck we are having on the day to what we are chasing, but we would more than likely spend the majority of the time with the smaller gear, especially in the warmer months when the flatties are more liley to be hungry. A big thankyou fall the advice so far.
