hi all

Stayed with a friend on cottage piont last week (sorry bout late post). we didnt try very hard but only snapper and leather jackets were the catch. we did get some arrow squid off the jetty at night. tried for jewies as well but didnt get a touch a dawn on the high tide. one good catch to report though. a 59 cm salmon. we got it after seeing some surface action so went back an hour later and trolled.

Good on ya mate,

I fish mainly cowan and now it seems the snapper of everywhere, not big but in numbers!

Im only caught a couple of jewies in my time there but i am on the look for new spots!

well done mate, ive been fishing cowan a fair bit now i seem to catch more fish in there than in the main part of the river. goes well for flathead in summer pretty much everywhere.

good report and well done on the fish even if they were a tad small. Sounds like a beast of a sambo though.
