Guest Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 what is the best bait to use in the woranorra river and what is the most common fish That would be probably prawns and the species would be flathead. Cheers Stewy
Davemmm Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 My vote would be for fresh mullet or live nippers and targetting Bream. I suppose it depends on what you are aiming for but I have found the bream more prevalent than the flaties. Dave
pelican Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 (edited) Small piece of prawn with a 40 foot net either side from bank to bank. The most common fish is just a matter of counting. It was a maths assignment wasn't it? Can'T really help as I haven't fished there. Wish I could have taken fishing as a school subject or maybe I did and that explains my results. Dept of fisheries may well have publically avaliable results if they have done a fish survey of that river if you wanted to know exactly what was there not just the table species.
