acam1975 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Hi again, After an unsuccessful trip to the Entrance last weekend, i am headed off to Garie this coming weekend. Anyone fished this area before, is the North or South end of the beach best, high or low tide? All advice is appreciated. Thanks

Look for the deep gutters - these move from time to time. Salmon are the main catch.
Dorado 2 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 North side is where you want to go if your fishing the rocks first platform fishes very well but make sure you have cleats as it is very slippery and also on the high tide the swell has a habit of going over the rocks so you must keep a steady footing. I haven't been there for years but it would be still the same good catches of Tailor in summer full moon also. I would suggest you go down there and watch the smart fisherman fish it cause mate there are some dickheads there. cheers
