ETTY
Morning, Yes it can be fished from but the area is littered with caulpra taxifollia. Never had much success myself but give it a go and you might surprise yourself. If not try the sand flats at Deeban Spit - good spot! Good Luck ETTY
jewgaffer
Does anyone know if the jetty at mainbar is able to be fished from? Hi landbased. Don't worry about buying a boat. I got some top information a while ago from Stewy Swordfisherman on fishing Bundeena wharf sitting in a game chair and using the big game gear. My own mate Jimmy Bowers from Ballina told me Stewy and himself used to do their big game fishing on Bundeena wharf on a Saturday night and they used to give big cuttlefish baits, a dollar and a stubby to the ferry drivers to drop the baits out about a kilometer towards Cronulla and the drivers would all take another swig and give the thumbs up. Hope this helps. How many game chairs have you got land based We'll bring the stubbies, don't mind a few tobacco smokers? jewgaffer
