Guest Jocool
I spent all of this morning getting my truck serviced and inspected prior to going over the pits for rego. My mechanic is also a Volvo Penta dealer. From time to time I see some nice boats there getting refitted or modified. The one I saw today was a doozi! Believe it or not, this Cat started life in the mid 80's. I'm not sure what make/model it is, but it has been restored and modified to within an inch of its life. It has had the cabin superstructure rebuilt, and the Hard Top added as well as having a second station up on the hard top. Apparently it has had over $30K wiorth of stainless work done! Every section of the hull has been modified. All the mods were done with foam sandwich, which has then been laid up by hand. Including the hard top and the hull extensions on the side as spray rails I guess. You really have to see this rear platform to appreciate the thought and work that went into it. Its SEXY! And right in the bum is where the Volvo will sit. All 440 HP of turbo diesel power comes from this! It was absolutely Awesome!
