Mystery Fish?

Hey peoples!

Can anyone ID this fish for me?

Sorry if its an obvious one but I am fairly new to the fishing game.

I've had a look through numerous fish ID posts on Fishraider and had a look at the Australian Museum Fish ID thingo but have not been able to match this one up.

Sorry for the out of focus pic but it was the best I could manage at night.

pretty little guy. wouldn't be able to name him if my life depended on it though

btw - caught him while drifting the northern side of shark island in the harbour

i again agree with kiwi, caught quite a few of these at mol point actually. pretty looking fish but a pest when bait fishing i have found.

And yes, I have to agree, they are bait theives. They were the only thing I caught all night. About 5 of the bastards, not to mention all the others that successfully managed to remove the bait from my hook before any decent fish got a look in
