Piss'n'Broke
Hey Myself and Greg spent 6 days up there the other week fishing. Veryyyyyy quiet! All we got were the typical rubbish fish We moved all throughout the area, try for kingys = o, tried for flathead=rubbish fish, ie rays etc, jew=same as flathead. All we managed to do was find tonnes of baits schools hovering over wrecks inside, but ZERO predators.. We even got a invite to compete in a tournament . Glad we didnt as a few guys covered over 60NM out to Broughton and well beyond. For zip!!!! No jews or kingys were caught in this comp. And biggest fish caught was a 78cm 5.1kg red, after that a flathead of just over 3kgs.. Dan D&G
Geoff
I was there last week , mainly to help a mate with a few jobs around his house. Did manage to get in a fish on Thursday arvo. Like the others rather quiet. We fished from Tomaree accross to Fingle headland & up to Boondelbah Is. Pulled a dozen or so fish over the side & managed 2 just keepers. There was a strong current running North , especially around Boondelbah Is. so I suspect this did not help Geoff
