Had a great time fishing these two comps with team mate Mark(Flathead1)

First up was the squidgy comp on the 25th of november on botany bay-georges river

We spent the whole time fishing flats searching for feeding bream It took a while but we finally found some and managed a bag of five weighing around 2.8kg good enough to get us seventh place

Next was the Berkely comp yesterday on botany bay-georges river

Did the same as the previous comp except started where we got the bream last comp and had a good bag in the first two hours after that it got tough with only a couple more bream including one upgrade

Ended up with a 3.48kg bag good enough for fifth place

Caught quite a bit of bycatch including some 60+cm flatties good size trevally big whiting pike and a lone garfish

Spent most of the time only using one outfit a seven ft Fishfinder proseries rod matched to an old 1000 shimano symetre 2lb crystal fireline and 6lb leader 1/24oz nitro jigheads and Marks 3in gulp alive minnows

The outfit is great for flats fishing it cast a mile which you need in clear water and handles the bream and bycatch with ease
