  3. Great capture mate. And yes it can be caught from land. Caught this last year of the shore in Botany Bay, on a smelt minnow.

  7. That was the responce I got from a friend, when I sent him this photo this morning. 50cm COBIA........ Of the beach in Brighton, Botany Bay in 2 mtrs of water, on a 3" Gulp minnow.

Thanks Guys, When you have a combination of Locked up-holding the spool drag, on a T-Curve 400 & Stella 20000, Shallow water & fishing off the Casting platform, your hands have got some work to do!!!!. I'm grateful that I was holding Chris's fishing rod, otherwise I'm not sure if He would have helped out.... This beast pulled, harder than any marlin or tuna Ive played with so far..... I honestly don't think that a fish like this can be landed in shallow water by one person alone....so I have too thank Chris for the capture, it wouldn't of happened with out him. Ive been aiming for a 100cm King for some time now..so Im stocked with this and I can now tick another PB of the list. Thanks again, Steve

  12. Simple...get the better brands ie, Yozuri's but use 14-20lb leader!. You should be able to pull out of most snags with that. Squid aint leader shy IMO. chers

  18. Sorry guys for the late report...Blood work!!! Just thought i'd let you know there are a few good sizes trevs around at the moment. Great fun on light gear....this one went 49cm to the fork, caught on 5" jerk shad.
