Top dorsal fin is different.

Therefore reckon amberjack is out of it. Leaves sampson fish as the best otion

The front dorsal is different because it's laying down flat, Samson Fish have a small front dorsal fin just like Amberjacks do.

I'd say that it's an juvenile Amberjack because of the black stripe through the eye.

My opinion is amber jack

i have caught little samson fish and they are brown on top as the above picture depicts even in small sizes of 300mm/30cm.

the silver trevally is close but the fish has a slight dark line through its eye up towards the dorsal fin

also compared to a silver trev the trev has a long pectoral fin and the amber has a short pec fin as the amber jack

but as others have said if you not sure what you have caught release it.
